Hello, I have a Zenith vintage radio from about 1945 to 1955. It is unique in that it is portable and could be used by 120V or by a huge carbon battery contained in its base (of which I removed many years ago) . About 40 years ago, I had the University of Lethbridge Physics dept. look at it and they did a great job in properly replacing some tubes/ etc. It worked great and I think it would still work today, however I am afraid to turn it on because the non-polarized plugin and cord are seriously disintegrating. It would be unsafe to plug it in and turn it on. So I am looking for someone in the Calgary, Alberta area, who has the skill and knowledge to inspect this radio and replace the cord and replace the plug, probably with a polarized plug in. Anyway, I have attached a couple of pictures and if you know of a person in the Calgary area that would be able to help, I would appreciate it.
