    Hi All,
I recently purchased a Stromberg Carlson Chairside230 R1 and the chassis and speaker are missing and a crap stereo from the 70’s was installed. I would like to convert it back. I can repair / replace the wood that has been cut and I’ve been told several Stromberg Carlson radios of that era used the same chassis. I have had no luck locating one. It seems most are 5 knob and I need 4. If anyone knows of a suitable parts radio, please let me know! There are 4 knobs across and above, a small tuner screen with a green eye tube above. I will include pics of mine and how it should look.

Thanks, Gary I’m in Montreal Quebec, H4A 2N9

Hey Gary any idea what radios the chassis would be in?

Sterling, After doing a lot of checking, It looks like the Stromberg Carlson 230 H rectangular table radio uses the same chassis as well as a console 230 L both rarish, but not real attractive.
Not sure if the dial matches as my Chairside has an inverted trapezoid opening and the table radio looks square. The knobs and eye tube look to be in the same place. Found one in Spokane Washington
but too far and too expensive.

Will keep my eyes open for one and let you know if i see one. I noticed the chair side seems to have a high vale when complete.

They do go for crazy prices and are often over refinished. I didn’t pay much for it at a flea market, but it is sort of butchered.
