    Hello all,
I am particularly interested in this one radio, i believe was used as a military radio. Radio museum says it was manufactured in Hong Kong. A distant cousin, variation of it seems to be a one North Star brand of Canada (which i can’t find the picture at the moment). I will post more pictures of this.
If any one has any information of one, please let me know. Appreciate it.

Sight variation to the Sonix radio, Canada’s Sonix, the North Star radio.

    Known facts about the Sonix:
    – Manufactured in 1975
    – Manufactured in Hong Kong
    – Imported in UK as the Sonix, North Star to Canada

What on earth do you want with that cheap toy radio, its not military, just a cheap am fm radio , similar junk to YORX, JULLIETTE, LLOYDS, made by the millions in the 70s , sold by the thousands with any name you wanted on it. Way inferior to the cheapest Radio Scrap radio. ????

lol… well, it’s not a Cadilac as you can see. An interesting fact of it:
In 1978, Season 2 episode 5 of The New Avengers: titled Obsession ran the episode with the villain holding a peculiar piece, the Sonix radio. You are maybe right, it’s probably not a military radio; but i would really love to obtain this piece of the past. Really hope someone here has one / at least an info on it
