Looking for this seemingly rare, Rogers manufactured tube. There is a substitute, which means changing the tube socket, but would like to keep it original if possible. I’m located in the lower mainland of BC.
Thanks,
Bruce
Checked all my tube guys out east without luck. Some don’t even have a listing for it. Found this substitution schematic which you probably already have.

I would suggest that if you have the room inside the radio, make an adapter socket with the 7 pin male and an octal socket. You can then use the radio with the substitute tube until you find an original. This keeps the radio as you want it but allows you to use it or even just to show it works.
Gary, thanks for doing a tube search and the references.
John, that is an interesting idea and may have to go that route. Will keeping looking for now.
I have been collecting and repairing old radios for more than 30 years now. I have north of 30K tubes and have only ever seen this tube once in all of those years and tubes. It is scarce and the only one I found was no good. You might be better off to do the recommended mod to the set and use the subs.
Good luck in your search.
