I’m looking to buy a Radiola 18 radio. Doesn’t have to be in superb condition, but I wish it to be complete – e.g. with all tubes etc. I live in Montreal; could pick up or pay for shipping too… Thanks for letting me know.

jp: I have parts and pieces of possibly three, two for sure. All components are there but the units are disassembled for service. Just never got around to finishing them. I do not have the pilot light hoods though. also have at least one of the proper wooden back covers.

Also have a completely restored Radiola 17 with repo hood and original back.

There were supposed to be a couple of gentleman coming from Montreal to see me this fall about someother radios. Possibly we could arrange with them to haual these units back if you want them.

    Oh Oh the price:)
For all the 18 stuff including one set of tubes $75.00
    The restored 17 — $150.00

Let me know if interested Moe

Hi Moe, interesting… How are the wooden cabinets? Too bad about the hoods, they are often missing indeed. Are you located in Toronto? Cheers, JP

JP — I’m in Cambridge about a hour west of Toronto.
I have never seen a 17 or18 with the original hood. They very thin brass and got damaged very easily. I do have a reproduction hood made by a guy in the USA
but I don’t think he is around doing that any more. radiolaguy.com I think.
The cabinets are in good shape. They usually stand the test of time because they where solid wood, no veneer.
If you are interested I would have to do an inventory this weekend and just see what all I have.

Contact me be email: tubetester at gmail dot com —- you know what to do with that address
