    Hi All:

I’m wondering whether there are enough Forum members interested in vintage amateur radio gear to have it as a Forum topic? Anyone interested?

I sure do Don, I’ve got a number of vintage units in my collection.
Swan, Drake. Geloso and also Kenwood.
    An excellent idea.

Done! Thanks for the response, Moe! You will find the new Amateur Radio Forum listed under Forum Lounges. I’ll put out a notice letting people know of its existence. In the meantime, feel free to make the inaugural post!

I’m interested too. My boatanchor collection is a tower of vintage ham radios about 7 feet tall. They are not hooked up. But there are Hallicrafters Heathkits and one Drake receiver in the stack. I call it my tower of power. It just sits there and looks cool. One day I will restore them. It’s on my rather extensive to do list.

Which Drake receiver do you have, Lee? I had a 2A that I finally sold a year or so ago.

Just a heads-up, everyone. Since we now have a Vintage Amateur Radio Equipment forum, I will move this topic to that location as it is more appropriate for the discussion thread above. I’ll wait a week or so before making the change to reduce the chance of any of the contributors getting lost.

Sounds like a good idea – I have a collection that includes Collins, Drake, Yaesu, Sommerkamp, Hammarlund, Hallicrafters, Eddystone, RACAL and National.
