just picked up a PYE radio model 53 D..it looks to be in good condition but the cord is rotted and I am in need of schematics.. I tried my CD of RCC but I can’t find anything.. I figure one on you guys could point me in the right direction for schematics.. Thanks Dan

Hi Dan. I realize this is a very old post, but I also have a PYE 53D and the schematic I have for it is almost impossible to read. I got it from the radiomuseum.org website. Did you ever get a good schematic that you’d be willing to share?

    Hello Les:
Yes that is an old post and I don’t have that radio any more.. I don’t have the schematics as far as I know, and I don’t remember if I did have the schematic
    when I had the radio.
I will see if i can contact the fellow I sold it to and see if he has the schematics
I have a whole set of Riders books, but I don’t have a reference to tell me where to look for a certain radio, so if it was in the books it would take me
a long time to find it.
If I remember correctly, it is a Canadian radio I do have the Canadian RCC books . I will have a look there.
If you have any more information about country of manufacture,, let me know and we can go from there .
Sorry I could not help any more.

    Thanks for you response Dan.
The Pye 53D is a Canadian radio and I found a schematic that is slightly more legible on the Pacific TV web site. It’s not perfect but with a magnifying glass I’m able to determine cap and resistor values.
All the best to you in 2019!
