Hi there, I just joined this group because somebody in a vintage radio group I’m a part of on Facebook told me about this as I am looking for someone to do an electronic restoration on one of my radios as I do not have the know how to do it myself. I’m OK with doing woodworking but electronics and especially that of radios I have a northern electric I believe it is a model 641 but I could be mistaken made roughly around 1940 to 1943 maybe I have just recently gotten into this hobby and I would like to be able to use this radio practically and safely I have very fond memories of it as a child as it belongs to my father and he has given it to me in its current condition, it does work, but I would like to use it without causing any damage to any of the other parts as I’ve learned recently that it will need to be recapped among a few other things that I’m not sure of I am in the Kamloops area of British Columbia anybody near me or anybody that knows somebody close that can do this work would be greatly appreciated
