I just acquired a RCA Nipper V and found a schematic at pacifictv.ca. However, R2 is displayed as 270 K in one section (p4 – parts list) and 470 K in the Chassis View (also p4). It’s displayed as 470 K on p3 in the schematic. Anyone experienced anything similar? Do I assume 470 K is correct because it’s displayed that way 2/3 time?
A cute little radio. I have seen a couple but never owned one. In looking at the schematic, R2 is associated with the grid bias on the IF tube and thus the AVC for the radio. It is in a circuit which normally draws no current, so its value is probably of little effect on the radio. In some radios there is actually no resistor at all in this sub-circuit of the radio.
Good luck with the restoration.

In my RCC archives, R2 is 470K everywhere and it is a standard value for the time. Other standard values would be 220K or 330K so 270K would have to be for very special use wich is not the case here. So go with the yellow-violet-yellow.
