The CVRS has been contacted by Ron (Doc) Maltin in Drumheller, AB. He is downsizing prior to a move into a much smaller accommodation and as a result he is selling three radios. These are very desirable sets that he notes are in original condition and are fully-functional. He wants these to go to folks that will really appreciate and look-after them. If these are not sold by April 8, he will be taking them to a coins/stamp/collectibles fair in Medicine Hat AB (https://www.mhcasc.ca/) on April 8 where he will be found at tables 1, 2, 3 or 19, 20 and 21.
The radios for sale are as follows:

    • RCA Model K-15 – ‘top of the line’ in 1937. A detailed article on the restoration of one of these sets can be found here: https://sparcradio.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/RCA-Model-15K-restoration.pdf.
    • Brunswick Model 15 – beautiful cabinet and original speaker cloth in excellent condition. Details of a similar set can found here: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/brunswbalk_15.html.
    • Bendix Model 636D – unusual table top radio in blond wood with metal (copper) lattice work and speaker grill – see here: https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/bendix_636d.html. Includes original factory technical info.

Please contact Ron directly if interested. Ron’s contact details are Phone: 403-823-4787, email: Docron at telus dot net
