I am selling four of my ‘top tier’ radios:
– Stromberg Carlson Model 325N: an unusual ‘bedside cabinet’ radio. Beautiful, original-finish petite wooden cabinet(slight damage to one rear leg – repaired), with fold-down door with three faux drawer fronts with handles that reveals the radio. Refurbished electronics. The radio has two wavebands and six pre-sets. Gorgeous gold-coloured ‘art deco’ dial. $125
– Stromberg Carlson Model 56: a striking (and rare) art deco floor mounted radio with concealed controls. Original cabinet finish in very good condition, restored electronics (2 chassis). $250
– Edison Bell (unknown model – likely a ‘firesale’ radio when the company went into liquidation and they matched chassis and cabinets with what was left in the factory): small cathedral-style cabinet with unusual styling. Single waveband. Restored cabinet and electronics. $150
– Northern Electric Victor Talking Machine Model R41: rare (especially in this condition) mid-1920’s superhet with mix of peanut and larger tubes. All original electronics and cabinet finish (almost mint). Radio works well. AES power supply built into one of the battery compartments. Includes a Westinghouse speaker that works well with the set. $400
I will entertain reasonable offers and I can deliver a reasonable distance (greater Victoria, BC area). Call me on 604-671-6062 or email: ‘gerrycohara at gmail dot com’
