Hello, Would anyone have a photo of,… or a link to what a Northern Electric 611A Console from 1936-37 looks like ? It is a 6 tube set and Someone has one for sale. I can’t imagine the cabinet is too elaborate, like some of the higher tube count sets were.
Thanks in advance…
Tony
Hi Tony
I looked in my Northern Electric Radio Service Manual 1931-41 and they have five pages of details, the 611 & 611A are console models, The pages detail; Specifications, Schematic, Parts List, Tubes socket voltages and current readings, & realigning instructions but no picture for that model. On the next set of pages are the model 620’s and there is a picture of this model which I have attached. Hope this might help
Bruce.
Bruce, Thank-You for going to the trouble of posting the photo. I’m sure the 611A should be fairly close. If it has the large dial, like the one posted and half decent veneer with not a lot of issues, i might grab it, even though I don’t have any room left for consoles. I am waiting for the gentleman to get back to me about it. Northern Electrics seem to be scarcer than the other brands of radios.
Thanks again…
Tony
