Dan, Thanks for the info! Your Globetrotter looks great! The pics also answered a question I had about the knobs. Whoever restored the cabinet on mine sanded off the decals for the knobs and the RCA logo. Are these available repro? It looks like you modified the chassis to accept another input for an ipod or something. Can I assume that I can do that as well when I get around to bringing mine back to life? Thanks for a sneak peek at the chassis. It looks roomier to work on than the Philco.
Thanks for the heads up about the book and the tube place. I did find a local guy that has thousands of tubes in stock and all but one in the Globetrotter are available nearby. I will start looking for the book right away. I will try to do the Philco first before I touch the Globetrotter.
