Forum ParticipantI recently received a Marconi radio phonograph and it does not work. When plugged in the radio lights up but doesn’t do much more than that. I’m completely new to vintage radios and want to keep this for sentimental reasons but would love to get it fixed.
Any suggestions for repairmen in the Calgary area and approx costs for repairs would be greatly appreciated.
I will post model number when I find it.

Forum ParticipantGood day. I am also looking for a shop to repair five of my AM transistor radios. Please message me if you find a shop that does this type of work. Thanks in advance.

Forum ParticipantI have a 1938/39 Marconi Model 161 that I have had for about 14 years. Beautiful floor-standing radio with many old Calgary, etc. pre-sets like CFAC, CFCN. Also CJCJ and a couple of USA stations KOA, KPO. Have turned it on a couple of times, got a few stations low volume but it obviously needs a tune up. Then looking to sell it to a great new home! Dan Walker…you can contact me at Cheers, Brian.

Forum ParticipantHi Dan,
I know nothing about vintage radios, but I have a few that I would like to give to you if you are interested. They were my Dad’s and I am guessing he was hoping to fix them up. They are not in great shape and may be for parts more than refurbishing. There are also some old tubes still in packaging, but I don’t know if they are good or not. Please let me know if you are at all interested. I can send photos if you would like. Please email me at
Thanks,
Sharon
