This is a VHF monitor receiver that is very similar to a Knight KG-221. I acquired it at an auction and it is in spectacular shape . There are some differences with the dial assembly inside the front panel and the dial is illuminated . As well it does not appear to be a kit. For example the “Speaker/Phones” switch is riveted in and not mounted with machine screws. It does have a similar if not identical front end assembly to the KG-221 that is mounted on its own sub chassis.
Picture attached shows a slightly different front panel , as well, from the KG-221. Any one have any info? It would be greatly appreciated.
Hello John – came across your info request. The attached scan for the KN-221 from a copy of the ALLIED catalog of 1966. It does list the specs so may be of some help. Its tube though and the later KN2504 is possibly transistorized version?

Bruce;
Thanks for the info on the KG-220 and KG-221. I have seen these ads before. As I alluded to in my original post the KN2504 that I have, is virtually identical to the KG-221, with a couple of small exceptions. The main one being the use of rivets instead of nuts and screws as in the kits. Perhaps the KN-2504 is a proyotype. If you find anything else on it, please let me know.
