Is this an Addison 43 with the original chassis?

I have acquired the radio in the photos and wonder if the chassis matches the cabinet. According to a picture in Lloyd Swackhammers book ‘Radios of Canada’, the cabinet is an Addison 43.
The chassis is labeled as ‘R5A1’. But the mounting holes in the chassis do not match the holes in the bottom of the cabinet.

Can anyone give more details on this radio, and what chassis did Addison use in their Model 43?

It’s close, but it just doesn’t “look” correct does it? I always associated the R5A1 with the bakelite and catalin sets, but I’m no expert.

That’s a good way to put it, John. It doesn’t quite ‘look’ right to me either. And I’m suspicious because the mounting holes don’t match up with the cabinet.
Hoping someone can tell us more about the Addison 43.
