    I can’t find a photo of a Marconi radio Model 79C.
    I can find a 79 which is a tombstone, but the 79C is a console model.
    Please post a photo of this model [if you can find one]

    Thanks Bruce;
    I have a seller who tells me he has a model 79c and it is a floor model.
    I don’t think he knows his radios, but the chassis could be a 79c and the radio cabinet could be a
    model 82. I think that is what happened, but after he sends me some photos I will post them here.

    Hi Dan
    According to my Marconi Service Manual the models 79, 79c, and 80 all used the same chassis except the 80 had a different speaker.

    The seller now tells me it is a Tombstone model 79C and it sould look like this one.

    Hi Dan
    Attached is an add from Maclean’s Magazine September 15, 1939 and a picture of the model plate what it should look like. The picture he sent you sure looks like a picture of the Marconi 79C. I would ask him if the picture he sent you is a picture of the exact radio he has or not. Enjoy Bruce in Penticton
