Help with a Northern Electric Model 20 A – Jasper?

Hi All,
I recently purchased this old radio, Problem is, I don’t know anything about these units. I’ve done some reading on this site and others, and it seems that plugging it in was a bad idea if I didn’t know if it was set up correctly. It may be missing the lower part of the cabinet as well. It was bought at an auction, so I have no information on its history. I like the look and design, which is why I bought it, and I thought I might make the cabinet into something else until I saw how old it was. I don’t want to destroy something that has any value to someone.

Can anyone recommend a shop in the Calgary area that can take a look at this one and see if it’s worth repairing?
