It’s only the case for $50, but I’m in love with the Deco lines!!! How impossible would it be to find the “guts” for this

Update/ It’s a Raymond Loewy Art Deco Skyscraper radio Westinghouse WR 15 Columnaire Jr. But I think/hope this one came with a clock or else someone cut a big hole in the front! The speaker fires up!

If anyone is still around here, I purchased the case which is mint and I’m looking for the clock and chassis if someone has a lead on one.

Hi Gary, did a little research and found that the rca r-11 chassis is the same also.

Hi Sterling, Thanks for the info, I hunted around as well and it shares the chassis with several RCA tombstones, but I got conflicting information. One place said RCA chassis r10, another said chassis r15 and R-7. I’m less worried about the chassis and more on the hunt for the missing clock. I am pursuing some leads.

Perfect let me know what you find out. Will the wr8 clock work? There seems to be more of them around.

I’m drawing a blank with the clock. Sterling, if you see one working or not, that would be amazing I’ve decided to install modern innards with a digital screen where the tuner would be. It won’t affect the outward appearance.

Have you tried any of the face book groups for one?

No I haven’t,but I’m putting it on the back burner for now. I found someone in Toronto that has a WR8 with the same clock and they sent me a pic of the clock face which I should be able to enlarge and mount on MDF with a battery clockwork for now.

    Thanks, Gary

    Hello Gary

The WR8 is the american version of the canadian 801, it has an 8 inches square clock. What you need is the american WR10 or the canadian 101 wich has a ten inches rectangular clock.

Thanks for the heads up Daniel. I’ve only found one in Toronto, but it’s still in the case and too much coin. I have given up trying to find one and will likely graft in another clockwork.

    Thanks again, Gary

    Gary,
Recently, I had bought a vintage clock off of ebay because I thought it would be fun to restore and I liked it’s look – see attached.
It was in hurting shape, dust grime some dings and the second hand somewhat out of shape.
But after a thorough cleaning I found it keeps great time.
I am not a radio collector, I am into restoring vintage clocks.
Anyway, I was trying to find parts for a New Haven Westinghouse steeple clock and low and behold came upon what I believe to be my mystery clock – Westinghouse Columaire WR15.
    Face dimensions 10-5/16″ x 8-1/2″
Then I started doing research on the Columnaire and found your posting.
I believe that it is the clock for the WR15 – or am I wrong?
