    For Betula –
    This is Bernie – Did you mean to make the speakers available for sale to me or Jean. I am the person who has the Marconi chassis 638/645 and is the one who started this forum entry??
    Also I just got off the phone with someone at the Toronto Reference Library and they are going to do some research into the RCC books to see if they can find the schematic for your Marconi chassis. The RCC books are at the Toronto Reference Library but they are not available to the general public. You have to make arrangements for them to pull the book you want. This person from the library is going to call me back with further information. I will pass along whatever I find out to you.
    Also if you did intend to offer those speakers for sale to me, how much are you asking.

    Hey Jean,
    How does $40 sound for the pair? They are all original. I’m just looking to make up for what I’m spending to get the amp and tuner working.

    Hi Betula,
    This is not Jean, but Bernie.
    I heard back from the Toronto Reference Library. They found the book that Jean spoke about in his entry on this forum. They said that if you were interested in seeing the book they would keep it for a few days at their counter for a couple of days before they return it to the archives. The reference for this book is Call Number 621.38418 T59 and it is number/volume 60. Their number at the library is 416-393-7149. I spoke to a lady named Rabia.
    Hope you are able to find the schematics you want.

    As far as the speakers are concerned, in what area of the GTA are you if I was interested in picking them up?

    Jean expressed interest in the speakers. I’m asking $40 for the pair. If Jean is not interested you’re next.

    No worries, Bernie. My main aim in this whole “Marconi” thing is to learn about tube amps and tube circuitry.
    I’ll let you know if and when Jean decides to purchase the speakers.
