    Hi everyone,

As you can see this is my first post here. Hoping you can help a newbie get a nice old radio up and running again. The radio is in a local electronics shop right now going through a diagnosis. I’m hoping to do some of the repairs myself.

I repaired the cracked and brittle power cord already. Another obvious thing I noticed is the display glass (tuning frequency display) is broken. 90% of it is still there but a couple pieces are broken out. I’m wondering if there’s any chance someone has a class like that or knows where to get one.

Or I have another idea…if someone has that same radio (Canadian Westinghouse 780Y) they could remove the glass and bring it to a printing company or sign company to get the glass scanned then color printed onto a clear laminate. Then I could just stick that laminate onto a new piece of glass and install it. I would be happy to pay for it.

Any other ideas would be welcome.

Thanks for now (I may need more help as the project proceeds).
