Greetings, I was referred here from antiqueradios.com as a resource for assistance.

I’ve become the custodian of a 1933 Canadian Marconi Model 44. There are a couple of questions I gave about this set.

    1. I have searched in vain to locate any photographs of the Model 44. I am trying to confirm toner colors to use for the cabinet restoration. If anyone has any photos or can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

    2. During my search for information, it has become apparent that the Model 44 “may” be a fairly rare piece. If that is the case, I would seriously consider sending the cabinet out for professional restoration from someone with skills much greater than my own. So if anyone with Marconi knowledge can speak to that, I am all ears.

Thanks in advance for your efforts,
    Andy

Indeed this model is very rare, I have never seen a picture nor a publicity. According to Roger Hart a retired employee from Marconi it is a 14 tubes affair, receiving on 3 bands and was selling for $365

It would be nice if you would post a picture of your model 44.
