I recapped a Sparton radio model 580 and it came with a Visa glow tube, which works.
I had never seen a working one of these , so I am posting some photos.
I covered the chassis so the dial lights would not affect the photos.
It looks a lot different than I expected., and you won’t see many of these tubes that work.

I have never heard of a glow tube.
So is a glow tube similar to a Tuning Eye Tube?
Here is some information about the tube. It was only variable for one year. 1934
It is similar to a 6e5 tube except it glows.
It gets brighter as you are closer to the station being tuned in.
I have had other Sparton radios with the tube , but on those radios the tube was burnt ou.
