    Hello All,

I recently came across a mammoth of a Rogers radio locally and it appears from the schematic that it uses a 2Y3 rectifier tube. It’s a Rogers model 8R1191 or 13115. I’ve seen plenty of 2X3 tubes in my time but never have I seen a 2Y3. I was originally thinking maybe it was a typo on the schematic but I found some references to the tube on line. My question is: Does this tube really exist or was it a typo. Anyone have any experience with them? Any help would be great. Thanks.

Here’s a photo of the back. I should have taken more pictures but I was on lunch and in a hurry.

The 2Y3 tubes do exist. They are another Rogers oddball tube. They can be replaced by a 5U4G or 5Z3. The socket will need to be able to accommodate the extra pins.
