1949 Marconi 252FM includes copies of the manual, works well, AM/FM, 2 SW bands and a phono input. Output is push-pull 6AQ5s, 5U4 rectifier.
Recapped in 2011 includes 20+ Orange Drop caps, replaced a burnt resistor in one of the IF transformers. recently bought a NOS 6AL7 tuning eye tube, needs repair to socket wiring, shines bright all the time so I’ve left it unplugged. Something is misswired or shorted. How many were built? The serial number is 3 digits, 293. A typical Marconi serial number is the model number plus 6 digits.
This radio weighs over 40 lbs, needs a strong shelf or a bench. I do make monthly trips to Duncan and sometimes Saanich.
I’m asking $260 OBO. Reduced to $125.John K, Qualicum Beach

Forum ParticipantHi John
Not interested in the Marconi, but what are you pricing the other radios at?
Thanks

Forum ParticipantHello Barry, thanks for your interest.
I’ll rustle up some pics. You expressed an interest in the ’53 Crosleys.
Both are the tan version with a few scratches in the original paint. Both play pretty well.
These radios have a slide switch on the back and an RCA socket for streaming direct or BT.#1 I will sell to a member here for $140 plus shipping.
#2 I will take $40. It is an older recap, still plays good with no hum. There is a small chip out of a bottom corner normally not visible. Paint chips.
The grill is steel, needs paint. Most of the metal on these is a kind of pot metal with a coating of gold lacquer. That’s why you see color variations.#3 Have one original metal knob, silver and blue with the plastic insulator , $20. Repro Plastic knobs are available online.
I’ll email a few details if interested. Thanks again.
