1949 Marconi 252FM includes copies of the manual, works well, AM/FM, 2 SW bands and a phono input. Output is push-pull 6AQ5s, 5U4 rectifier.
Recapped in 2011 includes 20+ Orange Drop caps, replaced a burnt resistor in one of the IF transformers. recently bought a NOS 6AL7 tuning eye tube, needs repair to socket wiring, shines bright all the time so I’ve left it unplugged. Something is misswired or shorted.

How many were built? The serial number is 3 digits, 293. A typical Marconi serial number is the model number plus 6 digits.

This radio weighs over 40 lbs, needs a strong shelf or a bench. I do make monthly trips to Duncan and sometimes Saanich.
