I picked up this model radio today. It will need a dial belt and a total recap. with a new 6X5 GT tube or a 6X5WGT tube.
The cabinet is good except for a few joints that are coming apart.
We don’t get many Zenith consoles here in Alberta so this one is a rarity for me.
There is lots of room under the chassis.
Dan in CalgaryWell this one had a few problems. After I recapped it, it played good, but the eye tube
harness had some cracked wires so I used liquid tape [BAD MISTAKE].
then the sound was all garbled. I had to remove the liquid tape [what a chore] and rebuild another harness
and install it. Now it plays very good [after an alignment.

Dan in CalgaryI have this radio completed and all back together. The cabinet was a bit of a challenge.
I cleaned it with gojo and then used Trade Secret on it.
It came out better than I had expected.
It took a lot of work to get this one going,but that is the way it goes sometimes
