My 97 year old father tells the story of how at the age of 10 he persuaded his father to buy this Westinghouse for $35. A lot of money in the 30’s . It had 3 sets of batteries. He tells how they could receive Havanan Cuba. He also remembers running home from his country school at noon hour to listen to the latest on the hunt for the ‘mad trapper of Yukon’. I will present the restored unit to him on Fathers Day. I did the cabinet restoration but I want to thank Gerry Shang ( made battery eliminator) and Greg Bilodeau (The Radio Guy) who completes the electronic restoration. Both are from Edmonton. Many thanks guys.

You did a fine job on the cabinet.
I always liked those style Westinghouse radios and I’ll bet you dad will be very surprised.
Good work . Dan in Calgary.
