I recently bought a Victor RE57.When I got it the wires to the turntable were not hooked up.. It is quite a system in there because it can make records from the radio or you can make your own voice on record. And you can of course play records.. All of the wires were not hooked up.. I need information about the hookup of the motorboard.. Any information would be of help.. Thanks Dan in Calgary
Thanks for the offer… I do have the schematics but they don’t show
where all the wires go to the shut off switches that are controled by the arm. . There are two switches under the turntable, and there were no wires connected to them. I do know that they are to turn on the motor when the arm is moved over to the record. I do appreciate your offer,,,,Dan
Hi, in my schematic it shows two switches near the motor. One clearly turns the motor on/off, and the other a ‘pick-up shorting switch’ is connected to the audio input transformer. Unfortunately the connections are not clear in my copy. -Verlyn
