I would love help to find someone in the Maple Ridg, BC area that can help me to get my late mother’s stereo working once again. I love the sound produced by this machine but it has stopped working.

The turntable still operates perfectly but no sound is transmitted to the speakers. When I adjust the volume dial all I get is loud static from the speakers and the radio stopped working quite a few years ago.

    Hello Jeannie
    Send a request to
The SPARC Radio Museum in Coquitlam has a technician able to repair most vintage electronics.
You would need to be able to transport it there. Its located on the Riverview Hospital grounds.
    The website is http://www.sparcradio.ca

Thanks Bruce, I have contacted them, unfortunately they don’t have room for consoles at this time

That is surprising response. Were they under the impression you wished to donate the radio. SPARC has no space for most donations. However the repair depart is still very active restoring radios for the public.
They cannot undertake cabinet refinishing but the chassis are being serviced.
