    I picked this one up earlier this spring, and it was painted a bright red, but a very poor paint job,
    I did the chassis and after a few hours of stripping, I got the cabinet all done.
    This one turned out a little better than I had envisioned.
    I always liked this particular style.

    I have been told that this model is a R131.
    I must have made a mistake in the model number.

    is that the original bakelite Dan? or did you paint it? if so what did you use to remove the old red paint? Good job by the way!

    Darren: I used ”circa 1850” Paint remover.
    I did buy some commercial paint rte mover and it works, but I was told by another restorer that this 1850 works very well , so I tried it.
    Wear a mask and good gloves.
