I would say this took place just days or weeks before the Stock Market Crash of 1929! Surely those “Regen Sets” couldn’t have been that bad but other than that many as we can see were even “three dial” sets as well. The way things became in the “Dirty Thirties” I’m sure one wouldn’t have enough coin to burn a radio?
