Hi All,
New to CVRS here and hoping someone can assist me. I have recently acquired a vintage stereo console amplifier unit from a family member which i am looking to identify and hoping someone can assist. it looks to be one of the Phonola based boards inside which I believe it to be an Electrohome Madeira Cabinet by Deilcraft based on a Google Lens reverse lookup. I’ve attached some photos here for reference. On the side of the unit it has a label as well saying Chassis Type HF2-1.
I’m hoping someone can assist in providing me with a schematic as I am looking to try and repair the unit (I’ve also sent a request to CVRS directly). The symptom is that 1 of the 2 audio channels works but the other simply has a loud hum. Also one of the 4 power transistors on the back of the unit gets extremely hot which I believe means it it is being overdriven. The power transistors all appear to test ok so I’m sure it is something on the board causing the issue.
I’m located in the BC lower mainland (Vancouver / Surrey) area if anyone else has experience with these and could provide some local advice / assistance as well.
Cheers!
Darryl
