    Hi All,
    I’m looking for a 6K5G for my old Philco and am having no luck finding one. Pacific and my tube guy don’t have one in stock. Will a 6K5GT do in a pinch? They seem to be more plentiful.

    You can use a 6Q7G provided noting is connected to the socket on pins #4 and #5 Some one correct me if I am wrong.

    I’m waiting to hear about some 6K5GT’s. Pacific is sold out of 6Q7G and GT

    Sterling, cut pins 4 and 5 on the 6Q7 and you’re safe.

    There must certainly be others as well that I haven’t discovered yet, but with the brutal exchange rate, I rather shop in Canada.

    Pacific is a used and new tube supplier in Victoria B.C. Clear across the country for you. Here’s a link: http://pacifictv.ca/
    My local guy in Montreal is Claude. he has a good selection and I get to improve my French: http://www.tubebazar.com/
    With the exchange rate at a brutal level, I rather do my tube shopping in Canada unless there is no other option.
