    My early model 902 canadian made Stromberg-carlson radio receiver lights upon all tubes ,yet no sound reception . It has two bands , one is shortwave .is anyone familiar enough with this model to take a look at it and give a verdict ~ as it is otherwise a beauty !

    I’m not a good candidate to “take a look at it” as I live on the other side of Canada but I do have a couple questions/comments. Are you certain that this radio is a Stromberg-Carlson 902? I can’t find a single reference to it anywhere and the model number doesn’t appear in the RCC circuit manual or in the Radiomuseum database. Could you post a few pictures of this radio both inside and outside? Also I suggest that you refrain from powering it up in future until you find someone to check it over. Energizing this radio could cause further damage to parts that may be difficult or impossible to replace.
