    Hello all,
I have a chassis for a ‘five tube radio’ to give away.
It comes from a ‘console’ which included a turntable (still available} All tubes say ‘made in Canada’ & one has the Viking logo – I presume sold by Eatons.
    Tubes are 12BA6, 12BE6, 35C5 (x2), 12AX7.
My tube tester confirms the 12AX7 is good but I can’t test the other tubes on my Knight tester. I have been told it was working when parked LOL
I’d hate to trash this, but if no one wants it that’s where it will go.

I’m in Rawdon Quebec. Someone save this from the bin?

    Cheers, Lorne

    Hi lorne,
The chassis wouldn’t be of much use unless somebody had a rusty example that couldn’t be saved. I would however save the tubes as they are very common and would work in other radios of the era. My 2 cents.

    Hi,
I would make one suggestion before you commit this to that great radio graveyard where ever it is.

You show 2 35C5’s in the unit. These are audio output tubes.
If there are 2 then they may be in push-pull configuration and the output transformer may be of use.

It is not all that common to see such a low power tube used like that.

    Hi,

By any chance would you still have the chassis ?

I am not interested in any tubes as I have a few of those in thsi radio but I would be interested in the audio output transformer.

    Regards
    John G.
