I purchased this about 50 years ago – I ordered a #19 Set and this is what i got. The ID Tag shows it as ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE Transmitter Receiver (a part of ATR11A equipement) RCAF Ref 19D / 4713 – made by RCA,

I have never been able to find out anything about it – what was it used in – what is it part of.

Anyone ever seen one of these things?

Where did they ever put one of these things in a Harvard? That must have been some snug fit.

Remote or no, I’m trying to picture 50 pounds of radio (without the shock mount base or power supply) in a two seater Harvard trainer – that is a rather small plane. Anyone know about any site that might have data on this radio – schematics or whatever. Any information you might want is available for the #19 set – this set produces nothing so far.
