Beautiful old Westinghouse 1182X console multi-band radio. Old radios were a passion of my youth, but I don’t have the time nor the inclination any more. This radio worked back in the ’70s when I was playing with it. It sounded great! I used to use it as a phono amplifier and played music, in addition to tuning the AM and shortwave bands.
This radio has a fantastic unique “motorized automatic tuning” feature. You push a button, and a motor moves the tuning the proper way to a present station. It’s eerie as it grinds its way to the right spot.
It also has that neat “tuning eye” tube in the middle of the dial.
