kuzzyForum ParticipantHello All,
Just wondering if anyone has a schematic and/or manual for a Precise Model 116 tube tester. I have a sick unit here that I’d like to get working again for a friend. Any help would be great. Thanks.

kuzzyForum ParticipantThanks Bob. That’s actually a schematic I provided to Pacific after I bought it from a web site. Hasn’t done me much good. Still having plenty of problems with this tester.

Forum ParticipantWhat kind of problems are you having with this unit exactly?

kuzzyForum ParticipantFrank,
I can’t get the tester to work on the "line adjust" setting. Needle just falls to zero. I’ve spent hours cleaning contacts and replacing components. I only have two high wattage resistors left to replace.

InactivePaul,
Well, apart from those two resistors, is the transformer working ok?

LeeCVRS MemberDid you ever find and assembly manual or owners manual? I would like to buy one or download one but cannot find it anywhere. Just got a Precise 116 and thinks its a beautiful tube tester. But would like to check it further. I did find tube charts and a schematic on Pacific TV site. Still looking for a manual though.

Did you look here?February 11, 2014 at 10:26 am #5542
LeeCVRS MemberThanks for the link. BAMA is an excellent resource. I did get those tube charts and they are just fine. There is no rollchart on the Precise 116 so without the BAMA tubecharts this thing would be useless. But the callibration info is just a page, and without the complete manual I don’t feel I can check this thing out and calibrate it properly. So still looking for someone to sell me a complete original factory assembly manual and/or owners manual. Or sell me a complete copy.
