I also bought this one off of Kijiji.. It’s a GE mode E-81 with the tuning eye. Now it’s all recapped and working fine.. I have not stripped the cabinet yet ,but I am sure it will come out nice .. I will post photos of it when it’s done.

I have now finished stripping the cabinet and have used grain filler.. Now it’s ready for the lacquer
    once it gets warmer..
    Here is the cabinet

Well I did it again,,bought another console . This time it is a Westinghouse model C6-2. I only saw the photo and phoned the owner and bought it over the phone. It is 100 miles away but my brother lives in that city so he will pick it up. It’s all there except one knob.. Can’t go wrong for $50.00..I am sure going to have a lot to refinish if summer ever gets here.

I now have this radio all done and the cabinet came out very nice.
I installed a phono jack and made up an adapter so an MP3 can be played through the radio.

The radio plays very good. I find that a lot of people want a tombstone rather than a console because of the space
that a console takes up..A couple of my friends have their eye on this one.
