    Have just finished restoring a Victor 28V cabinet and now i am looking into starting the electrical restoration. I am missing a 71A tube (171) so I am looking to see if anyone wants to offload one.
    Not sure if there are any other similar alternative that would be an exact replacement for this. Thanks

    Right now I am having some problems to access the transformer and capacitor compartments. From the research i did it seems like the metal boxes containing these parts are immersed in tar. I am having trouble in opening them as they seem to be sealed. Has anyone had to deal with a similar issue? How did you get around it?
