From time to time I have heard of the larson’s locator, which evidently was a booklet that was put together listing model numbers and their coresponding tube lineups.

I was just curious if anyone had a copy of it or knew where to obtain one. It sounds like it would be great for reference.

    Phil,

You might be able to get one from his wife. Gerald Larson has passed away but apparently she still has copies of the book. I believe they are $15 US plus shipping.

    The wife’s name is Georgia.

This is all I have. Sorry.

I may be able to get you one at the Lansing Michigan radio meet in July. I think they only work on US made radios as far as I know. I don’t have one but a friend of mine does.

The Antique Radio Grill Cloth site has a radio finder on it where you can enter some of the tubes of a US radio and it will do the search.

Scroll down on the opening page until you see the "Radio Finder" link.

Ernst from Radiomuseum.org sent us this nice catalogue. I keep meaning to bring it to the next club meeting to pass it on and I keep forgetting, but that’s another matter 🙂 It is chock full of pictures of radios and it is an index of thousands of radios. I am having trouble reading it but I think if we find someone who can read it they will be able to show us how to get some good use out of it . It has many north american radios, but the european radios are particularly interesting , there are so many we just don’t see over here. It is a great resource and He has put so much into the site. he would appreciate us uploading any pics and info of canadian radios to his site, and is very helpful by email.
