Hi, I am also Don. AKA VE3LYX. I am into early radio and have several. Recent project is a cabinet but electrified Majestic which was going well till I discovered an open filament in a 26 tube. Need a Canadian source and “used good” is fine. I have an ancient 00A Regen which works (Stark Toronto) and a few neutrodynes. I also built and operate one tube transmitters using 01A tubes or 45s. I have experimented with early loop modulation and successful had QSOS of several hundred miles with a single tube and a carbon mic. Also the Octal tube equipment interests me and I have operational a trio 9r com receiver and a DX60B transmitter with matching HG10B receiver. I like to build Ham equipment of bygone eras using old parts and use it on air.
I can function in Eng De or FR if required as well as morse code. Eng is my native language, De my “blut” language and FR by force.
