Down here in Newfoundland, we call it the ” d’ruthers” – (I’d rather be doing something else). I am in a similar boat, I have 2 or 3 radios that I need to look at. Including a Harris RF-3200 as I have just gotten my Amateur licence ( VO1 CAT ). You are never too old I’m only 64 !
It has been the warmest summer on record, they tell me, with lots of days near or over 30 C and humidex’s putting it at high 30’s. Way above normal.

Needless to say it is not easy to get a bench set up and to do some work. Some days, I think that a bit of snow wouldn’t go astray, but that will come soon enough.

Anyone else got the ” d’ruthers “!
