Hi Dan,
The Philco 90 looks like a good project. I have one I bought many years ago in Portland Oregon – it had won first prize in a vintage radio competition in New England at some point as I was given the rosette with the radio. It worked when I got it, but I never actually looked under the chassis – I should get around to it someday soon! My other ‘large’ Philco is a 16B, bought in an antique mall in Snohomish, Washington. I did a full restoration job on that one though, including re-stuffing all the Bakelite caps – quite an amazing radio! Some photos of each attached. Looks like your Philco 90 has a different chassis version to the one I have.
