I think I may be too much of a greenhorn at this point to know a TV tube from a radio tube aka “pertinent questions” The era I grew up in was the 50C5, 35W4, 12 AV6 powered stuff. I know very little about the earlier tubes, but I have a backlog of 30,40’s stuff to sort through, mostly having the bulbous, bigger tubes. The snow is flying, so it’s radio time again. Would like to tackle this Globetrotter this winter and I’m sure I will have some questions. All the tubes light and it hums and I unplugged it right away after that as I didn’t want to damage anything. Only visible damage on the radio is a small tear in the speaker cone which should be an easy fix.
